Barb S. Prewett, M.S.

Meet Barb

Barb S. Prewett obtained a Bachelor of Science Management Information Systems and Computer Science in 1997 and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2018 from Missouri University of Science and Technology.  Barb joined Missouri S&T in 1998 and currently serves as Director and Assistant Dean of Students. She plays a central role in S&T’s efforts to create a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment where students can reach their full educational, aspirational, and personal goals. 

Barb helped establish and currently leads UCARE and directs student support services including the Joe Miner student success initiative and the student emergency fund, along with non-academic student conduct.  She also leads assessment, strategic planning, and policy development efforts for the division and serves as liaison to General Counsel’s Office. Barb has served as an adjunct instructor for the Psychological Sciences department.  She has expertise in risk and threat assessment, case management, organizational behavior, and strategic initiatives. Barb’s favorite aspect about Missouri S&T is the meaningful relationships with campus and system colleagues along with the opportunities available to explore new challenges that make a difference in the lives of students. 

Chase R. Stockton, M.S.

Student Conduct Manager

Meet Chase

Chase Stockton received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2020 and Master of Science in Student Affairs in 2022 from Missouri State University and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas. Chase joined Missouri S&T in January 2022 and currently serves as the Student Conduct Manager.

Chase manages the implementation of the student conduct and alternative resolution processes, coordinates and maintains the Maxient Case Management System, and assists in department assessment and data management. Chase assisted in the integration of care-based practices into the student conduct process, development, and maintenance of the department webpage, and serves as a partner to Equity and Title IX and Academic Dishonesty investigations. Chase’s favorite part of his role is assisting students in their personal and professional development to reach their goals.

Kelsey McCleary

Care Manager

Meet Kelsey

Kelsey McCleary obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Drury University in 2020. Kelsey joined the University in November 2022 and currently serves as a care manager. Kelsey works to connect students with resources and support them in overcoming barriers to their success. Kelsey has over 8 years of care management experience and helps to develop interventions and outreach for the department. Kelsey’s favorite part of her role is connecting with students and helping them find a path to success.

Kelly Stuck

Student Services and Data Management Specialist

Meet Kelly

Kelly Stuck graduated from Rolla High School in 1992. Kelly joined Missouri S&T in January 2014 and Kelly provides administrative support to the department team and is the first line of contact for students engaging with our department. Kelly enjoys the collaboration between departments in creating a safe and successful learning environment for our students and loves to see how the University and community partner to support student success.
