Absence notifications may be requested through Student Support and Community Standards in certain situations, typically three or more consecutive days. The notification is simply a request for consideration and does not constitute an excused absence. Each faculty member has his or her own policy regarding attendance and make-up work and decisions regarding absences remain at the discretion of each faculty member. It will be important that you consult with each faculty member directly as soon as possible to explore options for their course.
Student Support may request documentation to confirm the nature and timeline of the absence, however, it will be up to the student's discretion if the documentation is shared with faculty.

Following submission of the Absence Notification Request Form, the Student Support Services team will review the request and contact the student about the status of their request.
